Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has confirmed that he will return for his ninth season with the team. The announcement comes after the Dodgers' disappointing 2023 playoff exit.
Roberts, nicknamed "Doc", has been a popular figure with the Dodgers and helped lead the team to a World Series title in 2020. He was also named Manager of the Year in 2016.
The Dodgers have won the National League West Division eight times under Roberts' management and reached the playoffs in all but one of his seasons. However, they have yet to return to the World Series since their 2020 victory.
