Lionsgate has revealed the star-studded cast and August 9th release date for their highly anticipated action comedy movie, Borderlands. Based on the popular video game franchise, the film features an impressive ensemble that includes Cate Blanchett, Kevin Hart, Edgar Ramírez, and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Blanchett will portray Lilith, a legendary assassin, while Hart takes on the role of Roland, a skilled soldier. Ramírez embodies Atlas, the ruthless CEO of the Atlas Corporation, and Curtis appears as Dr. Patricia Tannis, an eccentric scientist. Additional cast members include Jack Black, Florian Munteanu, and Gina Gershon.

The film follows the story of Lilith and her group of unlikely allies as they embark on a dangerous quest to find a missing girl on the treacherous planet of Pandora. Directed by Eli Roth, Borderlands promises to bring the game's unique blend of humor, action, and adventure to the big screen.
