Early Life and Career

Jacoby Mylon Jones was born on May 10, 1992, in Richton, Mississippi. He attended Louisiana State University (LSU), where he played college baseball. In 2013, Jones was named second-team All-SEC as a junior, posting a batting average of .294 and an on-base percentage of .390.

Major League Baseball Career

Jones was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the first round of the 2013 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut in 2016 with the Pirates and played for four seasons with the team. In 2019, Jones was traded to the Kansas City Royals, where he spent one season before retiring from baseball.

Career Statistics

In his MLB career, Jones played 438 games, accumulating 404 hits, 31 home runs, and 151 runs batted in (RBIs). He had a batting average of .253 and an on-base percentage of .316.
