Hangzhou, China - China was crowned the overall champion of the 19th Asian Games, which concluded recently in Hangzhou. The host nation finished atop the medal standings with a commanding 383 medals, including 201 gold medals, 111 silver medals, and 71 bronze medals.

India came in second place with a total of 158 medals, including 61 golds, 58 silvers, and 39 bronzes. Japan placed third with 150 medals (49 golds, 53 silvers, and 48 bronzes).

The Philippines also enjoyed a successful campaign, finishing 13th in the medal standings with a total of 58 medals. This included 5 golds, 18 silvers, and 25 bronzes.

The 19th Asian Games featured over 10,000 athletes from 45 countries competing in 37 different sports. The Games were originally scheduled to be held in 2022, but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
